Campus Apartment Flooding

This was the first bitter winter this campus housing authority has seen since it opened its doors in 2016. Freezing temperatures equal busted pipes. Luckily for this apartment complex the pipe broke on the first floor. Unfortunately  the water ran for just over an hour. The result 3 inches of standing water in several units. Standing water creates potential for structural damages (warped wood, secondary growth etc). SERVPRO was able to remove the water in the hallways and dorm rooms. This allowed students to stay in the complex if they wished. Their normal daily routine was disrupted very little. This is extremely important considering they might not have anywhere else to stay.
